Sara Pozzi appointed University Diversity and Social Transformation Professor

Pozzi was one of six university faculty members to be recognized for outstanding contributions to excellence through their commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Sara Pozzi has been named a University Diversity and Social Transformation Professor (UDSTP) for her significant contributions to diversity, equity, and inclusion at the University of Michigan and beyond.

Pozzi is a professor of nuclear engineering and radiological sciences, director of the Consortium for Monitoring, Technology, and Verification, and Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the College of Engineering.

In total, six UDSTPs were given this year. The professorships are sponsored by the Office of the Provost, and jointly administered by the National Center for Institutional Diversity (NCID) and the Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (ODEI). Pozzi’s appointment will take effect on August 29 and will continue through the duration of her appointment at the University.
