Incentive Program recognizes staff who exemplify College values

Several staff members received the 2021 Staff Incentive Award for living the values of Michigan Engineering in their daily work.

After a one-year hiatus, the College of Engineering Staff Incentive Program has been re-launched to honor outstanding staff from the past year. The program recognizes staff who consistently demonstrate the College’s vision, mission and values with a monetary award of $1,500.

This initiative is part of the culture pillar of Michigan Engineering’s strategic plan.

“The culture pillar is crucial to our success as a College. It is a recognition that our core values aren’t something we think about only on special occasions,” said Debbie Mero, Senior Executive Director of Resource Planning and Management. “They are instrumental to achieving our vision. We need to live our values every day, and recognize and reward those who exemplify them.”

The Staff Incentive Program recognizes staff who live the College’s core values of:

Units developed individual plans for collecting nominations, which were reviewed by the chair and unit administrator (or by the director in administrative units) before being submitted to the College. Units were able to nominate up to 10% of their regular staff headcount. Winners must have a minimum of one year of service in the College, be in good standing and may only receive this award once every five years.
