Catching Cancer Cells

A photograph of a researcher holding a device that catches cancer cells.

Rhonda Jack, ChE PhD Student, creates a cancer cell detection device in the NCRC on the North Campus of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. Tumor cells are released from tumors and are believed to enable cancers to spread to other areas of the body. Jack's device will aid in the capturing of these cells in order to help doctors diagnose cancers more precisely and treat them more effectively.
