3D Environment for Individualized Cancer Treatments

A photograph of a plate array in lab.

Hanging drop spheroids in a plate array in the North Campus Research Complex on North Campus of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI on October 2, 2017. The platform provides a 3D environment for ovarian cancer cells, enabling them to grow the same way they would in the body. They can use this model to test different medications and determine which ones work best on a given tumor.
