ChE rises in U.S. News & World Report graduate program rankings

Consistently ranked among the nation’s best chemical engineering departments, U-M has risen to 11 in the latest U.S. News & World Report’s annual graduate program rankings.

U-M Chemical Engineering is tied for 11—up from 12 in 2018—in the U.S. News’s 2019 chemical engineering graduate program rankings. Of Michigan Engineering’s 11 specialties to receive new rankings this year, chemical engineering is one of four to rise.

Michigan Engineering also went up one slot in overall rankings, tied for 4th in 2019 with the California Institute of Technology. In five years, Michigan Engineering has increased its overall rank five spots. Michigan Engineering ranked first among public universities.
