Fords endow ME undergrad scholarship

Russell and Lynn Ford have provided a gift to endow the Russell and Lynn Ford Family Scholarship Fund.| Short Read

Russell (BSE ME ’81) and Lynn Ford have provided a gift to endow the Russell and Lynn Ford Family Scholarship Fund. This fund will provide need-based support for undergraduate students enrolled in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, with a preference to students who are Texas residents. This gift qualifies for the University’s Third Century Matching Initiative.

With significant executive leadership experience, Russ is currently an executive advisor to companies on project specific matters and is a member of the Board of Directors of Pacific Exploration and Production Corp. Previously, he served 34 years with Royal Dutch Shell, most recently as Executive Vice President Contracting and Procurement from 2013-2015 and as an Executive Vice President in Exploration and Production from 2009-2012. Russ is a member of the University of Michigan Energy Institute External Advisory Board and co-chair of the Houston Campaign Council. Lynn is a retired finance professional and is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and Loyola University in New Orleans. Russ and Lynn reside in Houston, Texas.
