Mark Burns was named one of “25 Chemical Engineering Professors You Should Know” by Online Engineering Programs. The faculty were selected in recognition of their contributions to chemical engineering academia.

Burns, the Anthony C. Lembke Department Chair of Chemical Engineering and the T.C. Chang Professor of Chemical Engineering, is a Fellow of the National Academy of Inventors and the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering. He has won numerous awards including the 2016 AIChE Food Pharmaceutical and Bioengineering Award. He was one of the co-founders of the innovative seed-funding program at U-M called MCubed and currently serves as its director. Burns and his research group have published extensively in the area of microfluidic technology.
