San Diego alumni connect and celebrate at ECE event

ECE@Michigan hosted an alumni reception for graduates living in the San Diego area on Wednesday, October 28. The program was hosted at the Star of the Sea Event Center, owned by Michigan alumnus Craig Ghio (BBA ’74).

There were 40 alumni in attendance, with graduation years ranging from 1965 to 2014. Khalil Najafi, ECE Chair, and Yogesh Gianchandani, Director of the Center for Wireless Integrated Microsensing and Systems (WIMS2), shared updates about the division.

Attendees had the chance to engage with many generations of fellow alumni, discussing ECE’s corporate connections and student mentoring. They were excited to create a stronger ECE network in SoCal and inquired about ways to get involved and help strengthen alumni engagement in the area.
