Michigan Engineering alum honored by American Society of Naval Engineers

NAME alum Adrian Mackenna has received a Gold Medal Award from the American Society of Naval Engineers.| Short Read

Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering alum Adrian Mackenna has received a Gold Medal Award from the American Society of Naval Engineers for his work applying Multi-objective Design Optimization to the U.S. Navy’s ship concept design process.

His work has reinvigorated the ship design and acquisition process at the navy’s Naval Sea Systems Command team, fostering greater collaboration and creativity, better warship design and better acquisitions.
