Savage receives sustainable engineering award

The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Forum for Sustainable Engineering has selected Phillip Savage to receive the 2014 Research Excellence in Sustainable Engineering Award.

The award was given on the basis of his leadership, education, and research in sustainable engineering, with a focus on using hydrothermal chemistry to reduce the environmental impact of producing chemicals, materials, and fuels.

Savage will receive the award during the 2014 Annual AIChE meeting in Atlanta this fall.
