Dr. Christian Lastoskie is the recipient of the 2008 Japan Carbon Award for Innovative Research. The award was presented to Prof. Lastoskie at the 2008 CARBON conference in Nagano, Japan, in recognition of his distinguished research achievements in developing novel, rapid and accurate methods for analyzing the pore size distributions of microporous materials, such as activated carbons and aluminosilicates used for water treatment, gas separations, and reaction catalysis. The award was accompanied with a cash prize.
